FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any additional fees?

No, there are no fees for our service, you get paid what is agreed and that’s final.

How does the inspection work, what do I need to provide?

In most cases the vehicle inspection will be a quick look over and short test drive by one of our inspectors. The agreed sale price is subject to the vehicle being described accurately beforehand, however we are very fair and if a couple of small scratches were missed we won’t usually make a big fuss over it.

You will also need to provide us:

  • Service manuals
  • All keys
  • Copy of your photo ID, Preferably a driver’s license
  • Your bank account details

What if I owe money on my car?

That’s usually fine, we will need a finance settlement from your Finance company to be emailed to us. We can then settle them directly and pay you the balance.

Can I sell a car on behalf of someone else?

Yes you can, if you’re selling on behalf of friends, family or a company we will just need the following:

  • Copy of your photo ID
  • Letter of authorisation sign by owner or director of the company
  • Copy of photo ID for the registered owner or director

What if I live outside of Auckland?

We maintain a nationwide network of experienced vehicle inspectors who will check out your vehicle no matter your location. We will then arrange transport of your vehicle quickly and safely.

How long does payment take?

On agreement of a price you'll need to provide a NZ bank account number for us to transfer funds into. Depending on who you bank with funds should clear into your account no later than the following day (excluding public holidays and weekends). We will provide proof of payment as soon as the transfer has been made at our end.

How do I know if I’m getting a reasonable price for my car?

Your vehicle details will be distributed to our network of vehicle buyers. Every week they purchase hundreds of cars and have an in-depth understanding of the used vehicle market and where the price of your vehicle sits.

Does the price you offer for my car remain current for a set period of time?

So long as the car remains in the same condition and the mileage hasn’t increased by more than 200 kms then the price will remain valid for 1 week. All parts present on the vehicle ie; alloy wheels or audio head units, must remain there when we take ownership.
